How did #Climategate lose 100,000 results on Google?

Maybe I made a mistake, but when I posted this yesterday I am pretty sure of what I was seeing http://maniraptor.posterous.com/google-results-for-climategate-now-at-3120000 Later in the day though, the figure dropped back to 31,100,000. Now, I also know that the explosive growth in search results would have to slow down, (and I reckon it already was), but it seems to have come to a dead stop now at 31,100,000. Maybe nothing, but it strikes me as a little odd.
