From Harry's Place
You probably remember this incredibly disturbing Hamas Al Aqsa TV show, in which the orphans of the suicide murderer, Reem Riyashi, are interviewed about their mother’s “martyrdom” by a grinning and creepy TV host:
This how she managed it:
A 22-year-old Palestinian mother of two small children, pretending to be disabled, killed four Israelis at a Gaza border crossing yesterday after duping soldiers into allowing her a personal security check rather than going through a metal detector.
…
She was taken to an area where a group of soldiers and policemen was checking bags and was told to wait for a woman to come and search her in a cubicle. She then detonated the explosive. The blast tore open the corrugated iron roof and sent shards of metal and glass ripping through the room. Soldiers used putty knives and pieces of plastic skirting board to scrape strips of flesh from the floor and walls.
There is a good account of the reaction of Palestinians and the Arab press to this woman’s actions on Wikipedia.
Well, you will be unsurprised to hear that Hamas is still parading these orphans around. In this clip, they are shown a music video, reenacting their mother’s farewell to them.
“These are the children of the Shahida [Martyr], the heroic Jihad fighter who sacrificed all that she had for her homeland. She cared less about her own flesh and blood, and for their sake, she sacrificed [herself] for Allah.”
(Child host:) “We say to the occuper that we will continue in the footsteps of the Shahida [Martyr], the Jihad fighter Reem Riyashi, until we liberate our homeland from your hands, usurper.”
Hamas loves death, as we love life.
